However, with that said, it is a well built deck (In my humble opinion), that packs an almost cedh level of interaction (for a Gruul deck). I did this mainly because I like interaction. Sometimes, if the stars align, you can become a winner out of nowhere with some of the burn cards, properly supported with their amplifiers. I've had this deck win in a bracket 3 environment multiple times because people underestimate some of my helpers like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Nalfeshnee"}},{"insert":". Perhaps this means it's a bracket 3 to some, but there are so many card choices that are decidely unoptimal, and commandersalt gives this a realistic bracket 2, plus a power level of 4ish.\n\nDeck Tech:\nThis deck can win without ever casting the commander. It sounds strange, but the gameplan is impulse drawing for card advantage, and lots of casting from exile to hit different playoffs. Sometimes you just don't need the extra boost Hugs provides. If you wish to take a look at all the deck has to offer, I recommend using the [Categories (Multiple)] view option, as many of the cards show up in multiple spots.\n\nGameplan:\nThis deck wants to smack people with some reasonably sized bodies. There are 15 cards that can function as Removal, but only 3 that ONLY function as Removal. Sometimes spot removal isn't enough and you've already used the "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Blasphemous Act"}},{"insert":", and that's where this deck alternate win condition comes in.\n\nPlayer Removal:\nThis deck is packing both "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Delayed Blast Fireball"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Impending Flux"}},{"insert":", as well as "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest"}},{"insert":". Now both of the noncreature spells can act as board wipes, but they also deal damage face, and we have ways to copy spells in this deck. "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Nalfeshnee"}},{"insert":" doubles anything cast from exile, and we have "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dual Strike"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Return the Favor"}},{"insert":" as well. Return the Favor can also copy Dragonhawks triggered ability, leading to either double impulse draw, or, if you drew into it from the hawk, double the delayed trigger, which deals direct damage. If someone has something preventing damage, we have a "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sunspine Lynx"}},{"insert":", just in case.\n\nRaccoons:\nThere is a raccoon subtheme, purely because I added some raccoon mana dorks and decided to make "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Muerra, Trash Tactician"}},{"insert":" the hidden/alternate commander. Shoutout to "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Scrappy Bruiser"}},{"insert":" since it allows you to recast hugs each turn if needed.\n\nRamp:\nThere are a total of 18 ramp pieces, 5 of which are some type of mana dorks. This deck runs lots of basics and big creatures, so "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Entish Restoration"}},{"insert":" was a no brainer. In a similar line of thought, we are running "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Virtue of Strength // Garenbrig Growth"}},{"insert":", since it only works for basic lands.\n\nRecursion:\nThere are a total of 7 spells/permanents that act as recursion, 3 of which can get any card, the other 4 only getting either permanents or creatures/lands specifically. The mvp here is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Trailtracker Scout"}},{"insert":", which functions in three roles: being a raccoon, being a mana dork, and getting us back permanents anytime we spend 8+ mana, which happens pretty often.\n\nLandfall:\nThe only landfall triggering cards in this deck either make 4/4's and 5/5's, gain us life, or impulse draw for us. The token creation is specifically to trigger our meager actual draw package. Nothing too notable here.\n\nDraw:\nThis deck is packing 4 draw cards: Two that trigger on creature w/ power 3+ etbing, one that triggers on mana value 5+ cast, and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Season of Gathering"}},{"insert":", which can act like a Return of the Wildspeaker.\n\nImpulse Draw:\nThis category contains everything except the commander that makes us cast from exile. There's a lot in there, and only a few trigger w/o combat or some other condition being met. One of the few upgrades I've thought of adding to this deck is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Jeska's Will"}},{"insert":" in place of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Questing Druid // Seek the Beast"}},{"insert":", since with jeskas will when you have 6 mana, you could potentially cast "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Apex Devastator"}},{"insert":" much earlier than he usually gets cast.\n\nProtection:\nThis deck packs 3 counterspell counterspells, if that makes sense: "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Rhythm of the Wild"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Return the Favor"}},{"insert":", and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Veil of Summer"}},{"insert":". There is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Chaosphere"}},{"insert":" to protect from flying (and screw over my friend who only plays an angel deck), and Heroic Intervention to protect from board wipes.\n\nTutors:\nThis deck isn't really in need of tutors, but there is a lot of removal stapled onto creatures, so "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Archdruid's Charm"}},{"insert":" and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Defense of the Heart"}},{"insert":" help in a pinch.
