Bard Class does all three of these things. Finally, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Éomer, Marshal of Rohan"}},{"insert":" serves as a finisher by giving us an extra combat when one of our Legends die in battle.\n\nAn interesting wrinkle of a Legends matter deck - especially in Gruul - is picking the Commander. We, unfortunately, cannot run Bard Class as our Commander, and the closet thing to a dedicated Gruul Legends Commander is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard"}},{"insert":". However, I decide to go with "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Gallia of the Endless Dance"}},{"insert":" for a few reasons. "},{"attributes":{"strike":true},"insert":"1) She is hot"},{"insert":", 2) I like her mechanics, but Satyrs as a creature type got the short end of the stick, 3) having aggression and card draw in the Command Zone feels important for this deck.\n\nWith all of this, our plan is simple: cast legendries, profit(?), attack, keep attacking... win.\n\nThis brings us to the deck's support structure, the vegetables - the draw, tutors, ramp, removal and protection.\n\nWe have 17 cards that let us draw - split between regular draw and impulse draw. Is that too much for an aggressive deck that has an average MV of 2.88? Maybe. However, a lot of that ramp comes in the form of Legendary Creatures - which we want to run anyway - or cards that are better with Legendary Creatures. Plus, the dream of the deck is to storm off with Bard Class, and we do need a good amount of mana to do that. I know that Archidekt is telling you that this is a Bracket 3 deck. It is, but it is a Bracket 3 deck that wins purely through damage - and most likely through combat. So we need to run protection effects for our creatures.
