Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"It's basic: Ramp into The Frog, drop a big fatty. Attack with the frog, sack the fatty, repeat. If you don't kill your enemies by ramping into massive dudes, you can take a swing at them by hitting Bringer of the Last Gift and reanimating your entire yard to self-mill, then hit Izoni Thousand Eyes, Spider Spawning and Underworld Hermit with Mirkwood Bats in play. I say \"self mill\" first because you're likely reanimate something like Summon: Titan or Overlord of the Balemurk and you wanna re-fill the yard before you trigger Izoni's token creation, I made that mistake last game & it cost me the game. You go fast, play agressively, and smash people with the frog. \n\nTake care to note how there are a bunch of cheaper creatures that will scale based on your graveyard size, so you can get some surprisingly powerful triggers by feeding your frog some lower cost chow. Also, this is by no means secret tech, but you can saddle The Frog and then cast Colossification on the tapped creature to turn it into massive sack fodder and disregard Colossification's main tempo loss. Who cares if it taps down your creature? Just "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"draw 20 and ramp statistically 7 turns"},{"insert":" ahead. It's expencive to pull off, but the deck makes the combo possible. \n\nIf you were going to upgrade, look at busted landfall triggers. Bristly Bill, Scute Mob & Avenger of Zendikar all come to mind. I like this list though, it cares less about landfall & more about going fast with The Frog. it's dead simple, and you don't have to count up all your freakin' landfall triggers every turn. You do you, there are plenty of Gitrog decks that go busted with the landfall, but I like the way this populates its own graveyard and sets you up for big reanimations and card advantage instead. \n\nIdeally, the graveyard fills with toolbox creatures, and reanimation gives you access to whatever effect you need. Yes, there are better reanimation options than the ones in this list, but this is a budget deck using cards I already own. I've used most of the cheaper reanimation spells in my Dimir decks since they ramp like crap and The Frog ramps like a crinimal. This deck is quite functional in bracket 3, and could easily be re-tooled to go toe-to-toe with bracket 4 decks. It's a decent fit at bracket 2 tables, but mind you don't stomp. \n\nYou may notice some light spider typal synergies here. I originally built Shelob, but I foudn the gameplay tedious and a little boring. I'd love to tweak this to be a little more spider oriented, and if you know any good spider synergies, HMU! I mostly just find spider typal sad though and, "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"amazingly"},{"insert":", Spider-Man didn't do squat for my Golgari spider deck. Go figure. \n"}]}
