Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"This deck focuses on cheating out expensive high impact creatures by polymorphing the spirits that Kykar creates, and by protecting that loop with interaction. The goal is to get Kykar out as soon as possible, play a lot of cheap spells especially cantrips, and draw into a polymorph card. You did polymorph a cheap token, and cheat out one of the few big creatures in the deck. I had orginally built this deck just to be a silly fun polymorph deck, but after playing it I realized that it is very strong. I built this deck on a budget, mostly with cards I already owned, but you can easily exapnd this deck into more of a powerhouse by investing in more expensive powerful threats. Including Eldarzi or Blightsteel would signifigantly bring up the power of this deck, which is already pretty consistent. I've debated adding in some early token generating spells, in case Kykar gets targets, or cards like favorable winds/intangible virtue for a back up go wide strategy, but am unsure about what I would cut. Storm is also a powerful alternate win con, I've won at least a few games via a big grapeshot, but even if you can only take out a single player it's still pretty valuable. Notably, even if for some reason you don't have a polymorph in hand, you can normally sac enough spirits for mana to cheat out your big stompy creatures. \n\nKykar is an extremely powerful commander, and a very fun one to pilot as well. This deck feels both like a spellslinger deck, a sneak attack deck, and a big monster Timmy deck, and punches well above it's weight class budget-wise. It is deceptivly very powerful. \n"}]}
