Description
{"ops":[{"insert":"TL;DR Forgetful fish, but with more cards, and it revolves around venturing into the dungeon (the yuan-ti is cursed to be lost, that's why its a malison lol).\n\nThe intent of this version is to provide a faster paced game with a larger board state, more creatures, creature buffs and more card advantage. This allows for more \"off the stack\" play, as I felt Forgetful Fish had a more \"on the stack\" style of gameplay. I added the initiative and the venture mechanics to add to the threat level of the individual board state the longer the game goes on and to provide more of what magic has to offer in the game (tokens, counters, non-combat damage, treasure and of course, Dungeons!). The 40 life instead of 20 is an attempt make up for the potentially short game due to having a substantially larger creature base, and dungeon buffs to make them stronger. There are added card advantage pieces to help with wheeling through the larger deck, and the addition of dungeons reward the player by giving them bonuses for attacking (only way to venture into the dungeon is with the Yuan-ti Malison dealing damage, and you can further speed this up by enchanting it with Fly, allowing two venture triggers per hit).\n\nFollow the basic rules of MTG, the following rules superseding:\n\nPlayers are free to choose what Dungeon they Venture, with the exception being The Undercity.\nPlayers may Venture the Dungeon as many times as they wish.\nThe Undercity can only be entered through The Initiative mechanic.\nPlayers obtain The Initiative after completing the first three Dungeons.\nAny player who attempts to draw from The Library while it is empty shuffles The Graveyard into The Library.\nPlayers share a deck and graveyard.\nEach player starts with 40 life.\nReading the card explains the card.\n"}]}
