This is not mid. A clue token can now not only draw a card, but potentially close out the game. The deck can become extremely technical and very explosive very quickly: every game action you take matters. The goal is to attain a board state that can switch from being purely defensive to bringing your opponent to 0, sometimes without any combat at all."},{"insert":"\n\n———————————————\n\n"},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"some more info if you want it:"},{"insert":"\n\nMana efficiency is a primary concern for the deck. Cards like "},{"insert":{"card-link":"The Enigma Jewel // Locus of Enlightenment"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Collector's Vault"}},{"insert":", and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Forensic Gadgeteer"}},{"insert":" serve the mana, card draw, and artifact generation engines of the deck almost single-handedly. Gadgeteer will generate Clue tokens if left unanswered and allow you to draw cards and burn your opponents for 1 mana. Jewel -> Vault -> "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Bonehoard Dracosaur"}},{"insert":" on T3 is a very real play pattern in this deck, just as an example.\n\nA couple other things in this deck of note: "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mirrex"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Fomori Vault"}},{"insert":", and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Fountainport"}},{"insert":" are invaluable lands, as they generate immense card advantage and, most critically, artifact tokens. I have closed out games with damage and poison counters from Mite tokens hasted by "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dowsing Device // Geode Grotto"}},{"insert":".\n\nNew improvements with Duskmourn include "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Chainsaw"}},{"insert":", which is roughly analogous to Lightning Strike with upside (in the context of this deck only) and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Ghost Vacuum"}},{"insert":", which is an absolute TANK. Yes, it is good against graveyard decks which is good in DSK Standard, but it will be useful in any case because it can give you typically 4-6 1/1 fliers which can be used to block or close out the game, depending on the creatures you’ve exiled. It’s a great way to recur Forensic Gadgeteer and Gleaming Geardrake in particular, but a 1/1 Atraxa or Valgavoth never hurt anyone either.\n\nThere’s also a one-off of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Screaming Nemesis"}},{"insert":" to turn off lifegain from Sheoldred, Deep-Cavern Bat, and especially Ancient Cornucopia. Lifegain can and will kill this deck if left unanswered.\n\nThat’s it, that’s the deck!\n\n-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-\n\nAs for sideboarding, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Pyroclasm"}},{"insert":" is absolutely efficient in this standard, and "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Wildfire Howl"}},{"insert":" is great for when you expect a Gix or Glissa.\n\n "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Witchstalker Frenzy"}},{"insert":" will get rid of Sheoldreds and is worth playing against mono-red, although the star there is, of course, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Ephara's Dispersal"}},{"insert":" which is also already in the mainboard because Surveil 2 is just good, especially in this Tempo-Control deck.\n\n"},{"insert":{"card-link":"The Stone Brain"}},{"insert":" used to be a 4x, if you can believe it, because I had no efficient graveyard hate. It’s a great card that you can activate as early as T2 with Enigma Jewel, so you can *easily* shut down combo decks. If your opponent only has one reanimation target in their deck for some reason, then oopsies no they don’t! I used to use this against the Worldsoul’s Rage combo deck.\n\nLastly, "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Untimely Malfunction"}},{"insert":" is brutal. If your opponent plays single-target removal, sideboard it in. If they play auras, sideboard it in. If they play 2 fliers that you can’t attack past, sideboard it in.
