Also, the first time I ever played this deck, I stumbled into a mono-green infinite combo THAT DOESN’T INCLUDE "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Scurry Oak"}},{"insert":"! That was the smack that kept me comin' back, but let me run through the main plan of this deck before breaking down the combo I found and its other varients.\n\nMechanics:"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Kogla has the ability \"{1}{G}: "},{"attributes":{"background":"#66b966"},"insert":"Return target Human you control to its owner's hand."},{"insert":" <cardname> gains indestructible until end of turn.\", so we can reuse ETB triggers! So the general plan is to ramp and play humans with ETBs, then drop Kogla (preferably with {1}{G} and a human to protect him), next turn reuse the ETBs to accrue value, and eventually swing out (either wide or tall).\n\nAn important piece of strategy is to only use Kogla's ability at instant speed unless: 1) You can recast the creature immediately after with enough mana to protect Kogla, or 2) You can recast the creature immediately and the ETB is worth possibly losing Kogla during the turn rotation. The reason to use it only at instant speed is intuitive, but I will spell it out for new players. The 5-cost power-based effects feel at home in the deck because you need 6 mana to cast kogla, the next turn you should have at least 7 mana which is enough to cast the spell and hold up two for an activation of his ability.\n\nThe rest of the gameplan is centered around finding and executing the combo, most games it is best to jam more Soul’s Majesty-like card draw bombs to dig for the combo or tutor when possible. When tutoring, I find it best to get Karametra’s Acolyte first since outside of the combo it is an extremely powerful ramp piece.
