{"ops":[{"insert":"Welcome Back! I have had this deck for quite a bit now and thought i should finally post it here, this is a valentine's day deck! This deck focuses on healing players in a very unique way... by beating the life into them!\n\n\tFor starters you'll optimally want a hand with color spread and ramp as is a given with 5 color decks, as well as a tutor that can fetch a creature, a very specific creature actually, a non-legendary creature Angel of Destiny! she is the life-blood of this deck strategy and how we begin, step one is finding her with a tutor there are many in the deck and the +chances of drawing one aren't to bad but in the meantime work on step 2, build your board, using jodah just make your board as big and intimidating as you can, jodah buffs your creatures and makes your legendaries find legendaries though a unique cascade, this in and of itself is a fine way to win but we won't be doing that it's way too easy and boring so that's just plan b if things don't go correctly I.E. Angel of Destiny gets exiled or removed from play, which could very well happen because on the sureface you look like a very strong jodah deck and she is a wincon stapled to her but luckily a lot of your legendaries are here to protect you and your permanents. but on top of that politic, promise no harm will be done to them and emphasise this \"though it may not seem like it this is a hugs deck\"\n\tYou may notice all the copy creature spells while you're playing, as tempting as they are they are all for step 3, play Angel of Destiny and copy her as many times as you can! these may not have to be done all in the same turn but the sooner the better as you will need at least two of her for the final step in our hugs set up she reads \"whenever a creature you control deals combat damage to a player, you and that player gain that much life.\" this means when you hit someone with say 5 damage you and that player will gain 5 life, netting you some life gain while replenishing our opponents lost 5, this is for her second ability \"at the begginging of your end step, if you have at least 15 more life than your starting life total, each player Angel of Destiny attacked this turn loses the game.\" we will forgo this and never attack with our angel ever! That first ability however stacks with itself, see if we have 2 Angels of Destiny they both see you hit that opponent so say we hit them for 5 again this time they effectively gain 5 life and you gain 10 they lose 5 from they hit they gain 10 as well but 5 of it replaces what you hit them with and the other angel adds 5 more this take us to the last step.\n\tLastly step 4 hit your opponent! with multiple Angels of Destiny whenever we hit our opponents with combat damage we effectively heal them for as much damge as you got through with times each angel you have minus 1 (for the first initial damage they take) it's almost like hitting someone with actual negative damage! we hurt to heal! sending our love straight to our opponents faces!\n\n\tA deck that heal through combat! this is the only creature to make this possible, it feels like an Un deck but all it does is heal I ran across this when trying to find alternatives to the normal hug cards, lifegain seemed good for the valentine theme but the usual life gain hug cards seemed so meager, but with this we can heal bigger and better! and in a fun/funny way :)... however, there are a few uh, drawbacks to this unfortunately. Firstly, for all intents and purposes this is essentially a Jodah deck modified, the way it looks when you play is both effective and terrifying (such is love) but your opponents may not believe you are actually a hugs deck if you aren't convincing enough you might look like enemy number one even with the Angel because of the win -con attached, understandably, so even with the protective pieces in here you might still have an uphill battle for your plan to come to fruition (to heal everyone!). Secondly you can't do more damage than your opponents have health for, don't get me wrong your *can* and very easily, Jodah is a power house! he's the commander because you want to heal a lot, but you must take it slowly because they need to survive the initial damage in order for you to heal them so if you full swing you might end up killing your opponents rather than giving them life and you do not want that, it's Valentine's Day baby. Thirdly You cannot swing Jodah or the Angel(s) to add more heal/damage, the angels are a win-con for attacking when swung and jodah is your commander so commander damage will still kill as well so rely on the legendaries to send your love. And Finally The first angel is susceptable even with whats in this deck to protect and multiply damage out-put if your first angel is gone that's it, your plan a is in shambles and you may as well just start swinging but spot removal is just one problem, nukes, theft and anti-life gain are gonna hurt your plans too, and worst of all is goading, I love goad but it will kill everyone if your angels must swing, there are counter measures to these problems in your creatures but goading the angel can only really be stopped with Cryptolith Rite, and most of our tutors fetch creatures, I'd have thrown some recursion but the deck has a lot of moving parts between fetching the angel playing Jodah and using legendaries that both protect your board and hit hard *AND* copying the angel is quite a bit to make functional, even for casual play you need to do stuff to not die and I wanted the deck to be reasonably fast to ennact the plan and just one angel revive isn't gonna cut it, i'd have to put multiple in there which would slow the deck even further.\n\n\tDespite all that I still belive this is a wild deck strat and It's unique way of healing people is why I'm posting it here, I put some work into making a deck revolving around Angel of Destiny's first ability only and the descision making in all this was to the best of what I thought made for a very fun deck. so try it out! have fun with this one of a kind deck and spread the love! thanks for reading.\n"}]}
