Description

{"ops":[{"insert":"Trying to figure out if this is good enough for modern.\n\n\"Why are you playing Glint-Sleeve Siphoner?\" I hear you asking. Those were originally Dauthi Voidwalkers, but I felt I needed Jegantha in the sideboard to not lose to other people's Jegantha plan. I tried out a few cards in the slot and this one performed the best. The deck generates a TON of extra energy and having an outlet for it that draws you cards is really powerful. It is a removal magnet, but with Nightmare as long as they're not exiling it, you can bring it back again. \"But why not just play Bob?\" I also hear you ask. Siphoner attacks better, pings you for less, and generates value on ETB.\n\nThe old school Jund Midrange plan was to trade 1 for 1 and try to topdeck better than your opponent, which isn't really a viable strategy anymore since everything is a 2-for-1. Nightmare allows you to grind both players out of resources but still have something to do with your mana every turn to generate value.\n\nOne issue I've found is that *when* you have Nightmare, the deck really hums and is super powerful, when you don't it's less powerful, so any suggestions on similar effects would be appreciated.\n\nThe deck has an (incidental) insect subtheme, my personal record for milling insects with Grist is 4.\n"}]}
