Description

{"ops":[{"insert":"WARNING: \nThis deck has the ability to lock every other player out of the game. If you decide to run this deck, share with the pod that you have land destruction and stax that way the players do not get caught off guard and the mood of the game is not directly effected because you were playing a sub-game that the other players were not. \n\nSTAX Philosophy: \nI think that stax play is necessary when playing against other high-powered decks. The best decks either win by turn 3 or stop the other players from winning on turn 3. This deck is designed to prevent a player from winning by turn 3 and aims for a turn 6-7 win. The reason I think stax is needed for each pod is it creates creative game play and removes some homogenization of decks. You punish greedy mana bases and you have answers for lands. There should not be a taboo against land destruction or Blood Moon. I think Field of the Dead, Gaea's Cradle, Three Tree City, etc. are all ridiculous Magic cards and should not be off limits from interaction. This is a submission deck, choke out the mana and resources of the players and win.\n\nPRICE: \nI designed the deck to be obtainable instead of adding Wheel, City, Metalworker, LED, Breach, etc. It is not the most powerful version of Daretti however, you will be able to keep up with other cEDH players. Save your store credit and buy the really expensive cards over time. \n\nPLAY LINES (All of these win the game):\nClock of Omens, Sculpting Steel, Staff of Domination, Mana Vault\nClock of Omens, Sculpting Steel, Staff of Domination, Basalt Monolith\nGoblin Engineer, Cursed Mirror, Tangle Wire \nGod-Pharoah's Statue, Sculpting Steel, Lodestone Golem (Opponents pay 4 extra to cast non-artifact spells)\nBasalt Monolith, Rings of Brighthearth\nBasalt Monolith, Forsaken Monument\nBasalt Monolith, Rings of Brighthearth, Sensei's Divining Top\nMana Vault, Rings of Brighthearth, Voltaic Key or Manifold Key\nSensei's Divining Top, Cloud Key, Mystic Forge\nMycosynth Lattice, Karn the Great Creator\nMycosynth Lattice, Treasure Nabber, Krark-Clan Ironworks\nMycosynth Lattice, Vandalblast\nMycosynth Lattice, Scrap Mastery, Krark-Clan Ironworks \n\nCOUNTERS:\nProtect your plan with Red Elemental Blast, Pyroblast, Fork, Tibalt's Trickery, and Deflecting Swat. Fork can copy a counterspells or tutors out of nowhere enabling a win or protecting your game plan. Deflecting Swat can redirect a counterspells target to Deflecting Swat countering Swat instead of your spell. So, there are some clever sub-games that this deck can pull off. Vexing Bauble and Stranglehold prevent the highest power decks from winning by turn 3 cutting off tutors and free spells can buy enough time to set up your locks. \n\nWIN CONS: \nWalking Ballista\nChandra, Torch of Defiance (Ult)\nUgin, the Spirit Dragon (Plus and Ult) \nKarn, The Great Creator // Mycosynth Lattice -- Players cannot tap anything for mana. (Animate Artifacts like Portal to Phrexia and the Minus can retrieve artifacts that were exiled during the game) \nOn a fringe narrative you can win with Ugin, the Ineffable and Portal to Phyrexia's reanimated targets but, this would take a long while and the lock has to be air-tight. \n\nNON-COMBOS:\nAll Is Dust, Mycosynth Lattice \nMycosynth Lattice, Blood Moon // Magus of the Moon\nDamping Sphere prevents (Sensei's Divining Top, Cloud Key, Mystic Forge)\nUgin, the Spirit Dragon, Mycosynth Lattice\nUrza's Saga, Blood Moon // Magus of the Moon\n\n"}]}
