I was searching for a cool & powerful Temur Commander, not that Temur doesn't have cool commanders, it's just that none piqued my interest until now!\n\nBelow I've listed some of my through processes when building around Storm and some insight to my curious Maybeboards.\n\nGameplan: This current list I whipped up is supposed to be in the higher power levels. Although we do have combos that when the stars align we can win by turn 3 or 4 . Unfortunately our commander alone does not generate us this win. We need a careful selection of low cost spells such as cantrips or free spells, and payoff cards that can potentially win us the game on the spot or at least put us in a very advantageous position.\n\nStorm is incredibly versatile, as she doesn't provide a Wincon on her own, we have to construct one by building around specific themes. Her most potent and consistent win condition I've found in testing is with Birthing Pod shenanigans.\nThe key cards we're looking for to pop off is any of our Birthing Pod Spells (Finale of Devastation, Neoform, Eldritch Evolution etc...) in addition to fast mana/cantrips to get our storm count up."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nAs for our sideboard/maybeboard, I've utilized it as a tool to primarily test additional techs and to lower the decks power level as well. \n\nI've currently marked about 10 Cards located in the Maindeck that can be swapped out with the Sidedeck, not to counter other players strategies but to synergize better with different wincons. Having too much of everything lacks consistency and unfortunately makes the deck too clunky to play.\n\nIt also makes the deck more playable in more player groups. As it is right now, I'd say the deck can compete with higher CMC cEDH Commanders. If you were to lets say swap out the cEDH combos such as the Underworld Breach Line and the Thassa's Oracle combo and/or The Displacer Kitten Spellseeker Spell loop, with either of the packages I've included, You would still have a definite wincon, but you won't be winning as quickly, which should make playing with other groups a bit easier if you guys are on a budget or just like to play lower level decks...\n\n\n\n\n\n\n"}]}
