That also means that the deck itself is not terribly mana intensive, allowing you to run a bevy of protection and removal spells to interact with the others at the table.\n\nThe name of the game is protect Otharri at all costs. Nothing else matters. Save the tokens if you can, but your commander is your priority - so long as it survives, you can always rebuild.\n\nThere two (near) infinite combos, both of which involve extra combats:\nThe first is Moraug, Fury of Akoum + Sword of the Animist/Bitterthorn, Nissa's Animist: Either equipment will trigger Moraug's landfall ability and give you an extra combat step, provided you have a basic land left in the deck (we run 20). If you want to up the power level of the deck, those would be the first includes I would look at. Don't worry - this makes them perfect convoke fodder for Bennie Bracks, Hour of Reckoning or Clever Concealment.\n\nThe deck also runs quite a few haymakers that will make Otharri just go OFF. Every card in the \"Token Doublers\" column will do just that. Once you have a sizeable-enough rebel alliance going, any one of the aptly-named \"Finishers\" will likely close out the game for you. Finally, don't sleep on Three Tree City, which for you is essentially a Gaia's Cradle in Boros. Man... anyone else remember when Boros was "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"bad"},{"insert":"?\n\nYou may have noticed, but I've also been on a modal kick recently, so a good chunk of cards in this deck are pulling double duty at any given time (whether it be because they have multiple modes, are dual-faced, etc.). This is because (a) I want to be able to react to anything at any time (essentially never having a dead draw), and (b) I wanted to cut down on the generic 3-mana instants like Chaos Warp, and Generous Gift, which I feel are a bit overrated, by running multi-use 2-mana instants instead. At the end of the day, I decided that proliferate in general was the "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"slowest"},{"insert":" way to improve on Otharri's ability and chose to focus on extra combats instead.
