This ensures each color plays differently, and allows players to express themselves through the cards they choose to include in their decks. Each of these identities can also be interpreted in different ways, which opens up many different styles of play even among the same colors.\n\nWith thirty years of cards to choose from, however, there's no reason to limit your deckbuilding to what the color pie says. Every year we get new cards that push and pull the colors in different directions. Can you build a WR landfall deck, or a RG control deck? What about a UR lifegain deck? You're not supposed to, but that shouldn't stop us from trying.\n\nThis is also a great exercise for a color you're very familiar with. Thinking outside the box is a great way to break old patterns and reignite a passion you might've lost. Similarly, this could be the perfect time to revisit a color pair you don't like. What used to be strange and unwieldy can become fresh and invigorating when approached from a different angle. {"ops":[{"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/11106252/kykar_the_wizard\n\nThis is an Azorius token-aggro deck. I use Kykar and other cards like Monastery Mentor and Skrelv's Hive to generate as many tokens as possible then win with something like Moonshaker, Cathar's Crusade, Porcelain Gallery, or Divine Visitation. To get as many tokens as possible I limited the creatures and put as many usable 1-drop spells as I could, so it plays like a spell-slinger deck at times. Kykar's ability to exile and bring something back never gets touched in this build unless I board wipe and want to save something, but most people do not see that coming so it makes it fun to play for the first time in a new group. It can go infinite as well, with the simple Hullbreaker Horror and Mox Amber/Sol Ring combo, which gives me both infinite mana and infinite spirit tokens if my commander is on the field. \n"}]}
