An option to count 1-mana cyclers as MDFCs?
{"ops":[{"insert":"I love that when sorting a deck by card type, the lands section notes a real-land count and a count including MDFCs. Amazingly handy feature. A+. \n\nIs there a way I can count spells that landcycle for 1 mana as MDFCs for that land count though? Like Troll of Khazad Dum for example, unless I manually sort it to the Lands category, it won't be counted as a land, whereas I'd like to be able to sort it to a different category, but see my land count represent it when counting MDFC lands. Admittedly Troll is not double faced, but it is modal, functioning as a spell or a land. Yes, I'm aware I can sort Troll or any other card into multiple categories while deck building, I just think of it as a functional MDFC, so I think it'd be handy if I could make it automatically count as such.\n\nIMO, the LotR 1-mana-cyclers (Troll of Khazad-Dum, Lorien Revaled, Eagles of the North, Generous, Ent, and Oliphant) should be counted as MDFCs or we as users should at least get the option to manually give them that designation ourselves when deckbuilding. I argue they're functional MDFCs because you go down a mana to cycle for example Troll, but can grab and play an untapped land, so you're down 1 mana that turn. If you play a traditional MDFC like Bala Ged Recovery, it enters tapped, so you'd be down a mana that turn as well. Different cards, but similar results on your mana base. Admittedly Troll and Co. are worse than MDFCs because you need 1 mana already to get them working, so useless as your first land drop, whereas Bala Ged Recovery and Co. wouldn't be. \n\n1 mana cards like Traverse the Ulvenwald and Bushwhack function similarly, putting you down a mana but grabbing an untapped source, unless you prefer to use the cards' other effect, fighting with Bushwhack, or creature tutoring with Traverse. \n\nThis might be more unique to me, but sometimes I even like to count Neon Dynasty Channel-lands like Boseiju Who Endures as functional MDFCs, because you can use them as a land or as a hard-to-counter-spell-effect. So if I could tag Boseiju and Co. as \"MDFCs\", or tag any other cards as such on a case-by-case basis, that'd be handy. \n\nSo with so many cards one could argue are pseudo-MDFCs, is there an existing way to tag any card as an MDFC? Or is this a feature that could realistically be added in the future?\n\n"}]}
