Especially for commanders that easily support multiple themes, I invariably end up with a pile of 150 cards that all support different strategies.\n\nInstead of having to put all those extra cards away, why not set them aside to swap in later? This let's you easily test different versions of your deck, or just quickly vary the play experience from game to game. Especially for themes that have significant overlap, like Enchantress, Tokens, and Lands, you can also shift the primary focus of your deck from one to another to stop a deck from ever feeling stale.\n\nA transformational sideboard could also be used to help match the power level of a given pod. When playing at a local game store or convention it's helpful to be flexible with the strength of your deck. Swapping in or out Game Changers, or just adjusting some of the more focused cards in the deck to match a more relaxed pod.\n\nThis also saves space compared to carrying around multiple decks, and is a great approach for rediscovering the magic in an old favorite by reintroducing old cards you cut for upgrades.\n\nTaking this concept as far as possible, you could even swap your commander for a different one, along with a set of cards to better support them. {"ops":[{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/8930589/dinostorm"},"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/8930589/dinostorm"},{"insert":"\n\nHere is my brew! Happy to finally see a contest that I can participate in with this deck. It is Zacama Dinostorm!\n\nThis is a Dinosaur Storm deck with subthemes of cast from exile and high-power creatures. The goal of this deck is to ramp to Zacama as much as possible, preferably using lands and mana doublers. Once you cast Zacama, she will untap all your lands with hopefully a bunch of extra floating mana, and you can use that to unleash a dinostorm. Setting up a lot of cast from exile synergies like Quintorius Kand, Hideaway lands and enchantments beforehand in order have a really explosive turn as you cast big dinosaurs that come along with free spells, like Etali and Pantlaza, so that you can keep the chain of spells going. Aetherflux Reservoir is the best win condition in this deck, as it is trivially easy to gain life with storming off or even just using Zacama's activated abilities. Other win conditions include Finale of Devastation, or pumping your dinosaur army with Haze of Rage or Tempest Technique. Burn them out with Quintorius Kand or Flaming Tyrannosaurus with your cast from exile synergies.\n\nMana doublers are crucial to this plan, especially Heartbeat of Spring and Mana Flare as they are cheap enough to get Zacama out a turn early. Roaming Throne also acts as a mana doubler that also doubles up the free spell trigger from the Etalis, Trumpeting Carnosaur or ramping like Topiary Stomper and Hulking Raptor. The cast from exile synergies also work very well with storm as all of the cascade and discover effects are essentially two spells in one that also all cast from exile. Stuff like Monstrous Vortex can allow us to chain multiple spells together, and Rude Awakening can untap our lands to keep going. The two battles even synergize with Cast From Exile, as defeating them casts another spell, and both of them transform into big creatures. There are some graveyard synergies like Jurassic Park and Mizzix's Mastery (Underworld Breach is in the sideboard, bring in if you desire), but the deck can function fine without it. Finally, win cons vary as the deck acts very toolbox like, most commonly I win with Aetherflux Reservoir, but since it is a dinosaur deck it is very easy to deal a lot of combat damage, especially since a few of the storm effects pump creatures.\n\nin the sideboard are ways to either transform the deck or increase its power. Zacama is capable of going infinite with Temur Sabertooth or Sanctum of Eternity, and Storm-kiln Artist can go infinite with Haze of Rage provided the storm count is at least 4. Several other game changers are in the sideboard like Enlightened tutor and Underworld breach. The deck can also transform into a heavier focus of cast from exile matters, even mimicking the Legacy deck Mississippi River a bit. Finally, a different way to storm off includes the token Storm cards like chatterstorm and empty the warrens, which works very well with Phyrexian Altar, providing even more mana. \n"}]}

Most of the deck can be played at instant speed even without the included Leyline of Anticipation or having the commander on the battlefield and it seeks to build a board fast and swing wide with a bevy of complimentary (and exclusively) flashers, fliers and flash fliers.\n\nSwapping out 19 of the base cards and Errant and Giada themselves, Bruna, Light of Alabaster gets promoted to the commander slot and brings with her an armful of auras and a few extra tools to help her fill her hand and graveyard for a big payoff including the newly revealed Super State to win in a single attack. It just so thematically fits the prompt. I ordered the 20 ways to win pre-con but wanted to improve it. However, I didn't want to cut all the ways to win. Yet the deck needed to be more focused, as including all the win the game cards made the deck spread thin.\n\nSo I had an idea. I built a 50 card core deck that consists of mostly lands, a little utility, and the Maze's End win con. From there, I made 6, 25 card modules. I custom ordered each of these modules to have different colored borders to make it much easier to swap them in and out. I keep them in token card boxes and pick 2 at random before every game with the deck. I try to avoid seeing which modules I got so I don't just pick 2 that go well together. It has lead to some fun and interesting games, and the deck is rarely the same twice.\n\nIt was a difficult deck to build and a little pricey as all the modules had to be custom ordered. To ensure I could swap any module around, I could not include any duplicate cards between them. So some cards may have been good in multiple modules, but could only pick one. So, for the main version of this deck, we have Kilo, Apogee Mind and a bunch of mana rocks that care about counters, including the white, blue, and red mana batteries, plus a lot of X spells to really make use of all the mana we proliferate into. Both versions of this deck have a VERY low creature count, so we need Ghostly Prison and Propaganda to help us stay alive while we ramp and proliferate. Although, a strangely amazing card in this deck is Fishing Pole. Who knew a giant robot from space would love a fishing rod so much? The fishing rod can tap Kilo as much as we can untap it and have mana, and then the rod makes blockers to help with the low creature count. The ultimate goal is to survive and charge up counters on our mana batteries or other, similar artifacts and cast a huge X spell to win the game with tokens or pure damage. \n\nThe sideboard changes this into a super-friends deck. Superfriends is another type of deck I have never built, but I really like planeswalkers! Instead of charging up mana for a big blast late in the game, this superfriends version puts all of its cards on the table and slowly builds up advantage with planeswalkers. Ghostly Prison and Propaganda don't help with planeswalkers, so instead of that, the planeswalkers are likely to take hits rather than our life total, but Archangel of Tithes can actually help protect planeswalkers. With the planeswalker strategy, we just want to build up a lot of tokens and counters with the planeswalker abilities, and the commander can proliferate the loyalty counters to help them stay alive and get to their ults. \n\nAside from the 20 card sideboard and the cards that we would swap out, the core of the deck mainly works with proliferation to give us some unique removal and ramp options, and we need as many ways as possible to tap and untap the commander so that we can proliferate more. There are two tutors in the core of the deck, mainly to search out the fishing rod, or if we already have a good tapper like a vehicle, we can search for an untap piece, like Unwinding Clock or Sting. This is definitely a slow bracket 2 deck, but I think it could be fun. \n"}]}
