{"ops":[{"insert":"Hello all, First post.\n\nI kind of wanted to try building my first commander deck (that isn't a precon or based on a precon). \n\nThe idea I had was to go to back to the Mirrodin/Kamigawa blocks and see if I could fuse them into something cohesive. I liked the idea/theme of the world being consumed by Metal and the 5 moons of Mirrodin mirroring the 5 colors of Magic. And to go with that theme, I also wanted to work in the 5 spirit dragons of Kamigawa. I thought it would be nice to have a \"spirit\" element i.e. Kamigawa as if the planes were colliding, creating this battle between the artificial and spiritual/natural world. So my first attempt...was a bit of a mess. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/20704695/vengeance_of_the_five_suns"},"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/20704695/vengeance_of_the_five_suns"},{"insert":"\n\nAsking on Reddit, they identified that Reaper King and Mycosynth Lattice were \"too cute\" and an overabundance of \"Pet cards.\" And I feel they were right in that Reaper and Mycosynth depend on a lot of situational things to happen. It had all these little synergies. And with O-Kagachi as the commander, there wasn't anything really seeming to support him. Chromanticore for example could boost O-Kagachi but...its a steep investment and O-kagachi seems to want you to be attacking as much as possible. (See pressure deck below). \n\nSo I took a different route...\n\n"},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/21686080/vengeance_of_the_five_suns_v2"},"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/21686080/vengeance_of_the_five_suns_v2"},{"insert":"\n\nI added Ur-Dragon. And as Reddit also noted? He's a hate card that is almost sure to get removed, etc. as soon as he comes down. And many felt he is boring. And I get that, and I wanted to do something than a standard run-of-the-mill dragon deck. \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"TLDR: "},{"insert":"\nSo I pivoted a bit. I did buy some dragons. I did run the O-Kagachi deck against the Revival Trance Precon in Forge. I got O-Kagachi down as early as turn 4 or 5 iirc. And I won by turn 10. That was against AI of course. But I need to try it against a deck like counter blitz/Limit break, etc. \n\nI did have someone recommend Legacy Weapon to pair with Ramos. \n\nThanks In advance for any feedback. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Concerning the Ramos deck; you definitely need more lands. Also at the moment your ramp section leads to a situation where you can´t keep any starting hand that doesn´t have at least one green mana source. {"ops":[{"insert":"Thank you so much for the feedback and suggestions. I haven't tested Ramos yet, but the O-Kagachi deck seems to be faring pretty well against the precons I tested that against. Where I ran into issues with that was the Scions and Spellcraft deck. \n\nBut those are great suggestions to consider. Especially the Mirrodin suggestions. I know 5 color tends to be mana hungry so your feedback kind of confirmed some of the reservations I had. I can't afford to miss land drops. \n"}]}
