IvanM26 5 years{"ops":[{"insert":"Hi, I've been playing "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow"}},{"insert":" for a while now. \n\nThe decklist: "},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/348810#EDH_-_Yuriko,_the_Tiger's_Shadow"},"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/348810#EDH_-_Yuriko,_the_Tiger's_Shadow"},{"insert":"\n\nI avoid playing cards that give extra turns (because I feel it's boring for the rest of the table watching one guy playing extra turns).\nI also chose not to play the "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Doomsday"}},{"insert":" package.\n\nI chose Moxes ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Chrome Mox"}},{"insert":" , "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mox Diamond"}},{"insert":" , "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mox Amber"}},{"insert":" ) over "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mana Crypt"}},{"insert":" or "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sol Ring"}},{"insert":" because I have low cost, mana intensive creatures.\nI enjoy playing fast decks, and I think I have some cards that are useful in late game.\n\nI've included cards I own in the Maybeboard which I may consider to move to the Maindeck in the future (or had some synergy with Yuriko)\n\nMy game plan is to play a bunch of 1 mana creatures with evasion (one card I should get that I think is a must is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Spectral Sailor"}},{"insert":") and get Yuriko to play ASAP and start getting card advantage with her \"draws\".\n\nI think that Yuriko synergizes well with: \n\tcards with alternative costs ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Misdirection"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Snuff Out"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Curtains' Call"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Dig Through Time"}},{"insert":"), \n\tsplit cards ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Connive // Concoct"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Never // Return"}},{"insert":"), \n\temerge cards ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Elder Deep-Fiend"}},{"insert":").\n\tETB cards ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Baleful Strix"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Plaguecrafter"}},{"insert":"),\n\tmanlands ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Mutavault"}},{"insert":" , "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Blinkmoth Nexus"}},{"insert":") -which allow to attack with Yuriko after a board wipe-\n\t\nI'm also testing a cycle package (the card I think is a must is "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Street Wraith"}},{"insert":", and maybe "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Architects of Will"}},{"insert":"). \nI'll test "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Windcaller Aven"}},{"insert":" (which I think deals a lot of damage when revealed with Yuriko and then is a 1 mana card which grants evation and draws 1), and some others that I'm not sure if will make the cut ("},{"insert":{"card-link":"Jhessian Zombies"}},{"insert":")\n\nSome thoughts I have are:\nIs the number of 1 mana evasive creatures too large?\nCould I play less lands and not get mana screw?\n\nLet me know what you think! And since you enjoy playing fast decks, the current count is imho good.\nCould I play less lands and not get mana screw?"},{"attributes":{"blockquote":true},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Yes, absolutely. Just had a look at the average CMC (~3). I think, you can go down to 36 or maybe even 35 lands and replace the lands with another bunch of low costed evasion creatures. Please keep in mind: statistically you will get mana screwed every once in a while, even if you have 37 or even 38 lands.\n\nOn a random note: I don't know, how you meta looks like, but I'd suggest, playing a "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Black Sun's Zenith"}},{"insert":" instead of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Snuff Out"}},{"insert":" to have at least some kind of board wipe alongside of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Cyclonic Rift"}},{"insert":", because "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite"}},{"insert":" or similar effects might screw you hard.\n"}]}

Right now I play Yuriko in turn 2 consistely, so I might add other spells too. Talking about boardwipes, I'd prefer "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Toxic Deluge"}},{"insert":" because of the maná cost (even if I have to play life)\n"}]}

I do not own a copy of "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Force of Negation"}},{"insert":" , but I believe it would be a great counterspell for the deck. Thank you very much!\n"}]}
