{"ops":[{"insert":"I had to completely rewrite the deck list but I got a list for Elas Il-Kor under $100 (deck list here: https://archidekt.com/decks/3599054/elas_life_drain). Lots of life gain/life drain effects. Lots of make more creatures on ETB. Some sac outlets. The much more expensive deck list that I played with this commander, was often taken out fast because everybody knows what's going on and worked to stop me. But it did fun things. The one combo that I wanted to see happen, but never got to was Blade of Selves on Elas, a token doubler on the field (Mondrak or Anointed Procession), and anything that would double the damage on creature death. This combo works like this: 1 - take a swing with Elas; 2 - make *two* copies of Elas per opponent not being swung at; 3 - legend rule still applies so sac all the copies to the rule. In a 4 player game the total life I would gain would be 16 (original Elas sees 4 copies ETB, the copies see the other 3 ETB, 4 + (4 x 3, which = 12)) and then my opponents would lose 32 life (same math as the life gain, just doubled). \n\nNo token doublers in this list so the combo I mentioned above is no long a viable option. But using the blade of selves on creatures with token creation ETBs is an excellent way to make more attackers, *and* gain and drain life.\n"}]}

I started in February when my play group took a break from DnD. I got the idea for this deck when I learned about the \"Tiny Leaders\" format, and realized I had a Reyav, Master Smith lyng around. I didn't want to sink money into a bunch of new cards; I just wanted to use leftovers that I had from set and draft booster packs. It turns out dwarfs and equipment go well together and are pretty cheap! My favorite part about this build is that, not only is it under $100 ($98.12/ $78.09 excluding basic lands), but that the average mana value is also pretty low at 2.86. I love the idea of building up one tiny little buddy until it is absolutely unstoppable while getting rewarded for it along the way!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Took a bit of time to decide, but after tweaking some stuff I think my Kaima list is a pretty neat one to show off. it does its best to generate a lot of value off goading everyone else's creatures and create some fun interactions. It's full of niche enchantments that provide interesting benefits to you while forcing your opponents to risk their creatures every turn swinging into each other.\n\nhttps://archidekt.com/decks/4808292/kaima_rage_machine\n\nThe physical list actually came very much under $100 so there was some time to rebrew and come up with some ideas I'll probably implement in my physical deck as well.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Originally made this deck intending for it to be a mid-tier deck to trade out with some of my more powerful decks, and it ended up being a very cheap deck that rolls through my playgroup. Using Jorn, God of Winter as your commander lock down your opponents and double the value of your lands as you whittle them down. Get some reanimation with Jorn's flip side Kaldring in the late game. There are some options you could add to this deck to make it slightly better and take it over $100, but to be honest they aren't adding much for the cash value. So far for me this deck is undefeated in my playgroup!\n\nCurrently at $99.95 without basics.\n\nhttps://archidekt.com/decks/4479429/let_it_snow \n"}]}

Only a few cards below 3 cmc to make our cascades worth while. Sometimes we have Laelia out and cascading through 20 cards gives her +20/+20. The turns can be long so I goldfished it a lot before playing, but it is a blast.\n"}]}

Testuko Umezawa and Predatory Focus are there to get through opponents' defenses. I also put the big budget Invasion of Ikoria because it can easily cast for 4 mana early and get quickly flipped so you have another option to get through defenses. The Cultural Exchange is for mega entertainment value - what, you've got a bunch of 8/8 flyers? Thank you - in exchange, you can have some of wimpy walls! The removal deals with multiple threats, especially various types of creatures and still leave your board intact: Slaughter the Strong takes care of pesky go-wide token creature decks and Dusk to Dawn takes care of the big mosters. Lae'zel's Acrobatics and Ghostway serve double-duty - save your creatures from mass removal, and then draw a bunch of cards when you stack Arcades' ETB ability. Lastly, there is a single lone counterspell - Controvert. Because the creatures in this deck are so mana efficient, you can recover this spell fairly easily to use again with portcullis vine giving you a way to get it back in a pinch.\n"}]}
