[Bug] Card Color Tags not visible to anonymous visitors
{"ops":[{"insert":"I'm using color tags for this deck: https://archidekt.com/decks/53714 but anonymous users can't see them. There are three classes of user to test here:\n\n1) Can the owner of a deck see their own tags?\n2) Can an authenticated user who's not the owner see someone else's tags?\n3) Can an anonymous (non-authenticated) user see a deck's color tags?\n\n1 works, 3 doesn't work (i've tried both desktop and mobile browsers), and I haven't checked 2 yet because I only have a single account.\n\nHope this helps!\n"}]}

The reasoning behind this is to try to make it less jarring to look at someone else's deck; if you go to a deck that you don't own you wouldn't be able to access the key for what the colors necessarily mean, and it can be a bit strange for people who don't know what color tags are to look at someone else's deck and see a bunch of random colors.\n\nThat said, there is a bit of a loophole to this. If you change the way the stacks of cards are sorted to color tags, we sort them into piles of cards based on their color tag with the title of that tag at the top of the stack of cards. That's a little long winded but as an example: if I switch the stack sorting to color tags (by default cards are stacked by card type for context), users can see (as an example) stacks named default, have, getting, etc. You can do this without owning the deck or being logged in. So in a way- yes other users can see what color tags you're using, but not in the most intuitive way. \n\nI hope that answer's your question. \n\nTotally don't need to keep reading if you don't want to, I can be quite long winded some times."},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nAs a bit of an aside, I don't see us allowing non owners to see color tags (again for consistency in viewing other's decks) for now. However, we've been talking for a while about allowing users to give any cards in a deck multiple categories as opposed to just one, which would be a bit less jarring for user's who may be viewing your decks. \n\nIt's funny that you just asked about this because we had a "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"very "},{"insert":"long conversation last night about needing to clear up some of the messaging behind categories vs color tags, etc. So since it seems from your comment that you're using this feature, I'd love to know exactly how you're using them (and why). Initially, color tags were created with using them for constructs outside of game-play, ex: owning a card vs needing to buy it, cards that you might be proxying, etc. Where as categories were intended to be used for more in game-play things such as mana ramp, card draw, etc. This is why showing those color tags to others doesn't really make sense in that context as it's stuff that's important to you (the deck owner and player who actually needs to build this deck to play with) vs someone who may just being viewing your deck for inspiration/ ideas etc.\n\ntl;dr - what're you using color tags for that you want other people to see them?\n\nIf you read the whole thing, you're a legend cause this is one hell of a brain dump 🤣 thanks again for the comment!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"I'm old, so I still read long form things. :P\n\nIf you check the link in the OP, I'm using tags to denote recent additions to the deck (green), as well as cards I'm considering cutting (purple). This is useful for those who want to see the progression of the deck (I'm also keeping previous versions of the deck stored on the site, also with these color tags to really show progression and evolution) as well as for those who I might be asking for advice, e.g., \"Of the 5 purple-marked cards, which should I cut?\"\n\nAs for making things confusing, I don't think it needs to be a problem:\n\n1) How many people actually use tags, especially custom tags? I'm guessing that few people use them, and those that do, like me, curate them carefully and use them with specific purposes in mind. In other words, I specifically want people to be able to see my tags, because they illustrate something in particular, like the evolution of the deck.\n\n2) You could have a tag \"legend\" that shows what custom tag colors mean at a glance. E.g. if a deck is using tags, have a separate icon in the lower right that opens a non-modal tag \"palette.\" If I'm right in (1) above, this will seldom need to be shown because few people will use custom tags, but it will be valuable for people who are trying to communicate deck/card characteristics via tags.\n\n3) Allow tags to be publicly-visible, with default being private. If most people use tags the way you intended them (i.e. to show ownership status etc.) then they can do that with private-by-default tags that don't clutter things visually, but people like me can set tags to public with the intention that others should be able to see them.\n\nThanks for being open to feedback! I love what you've got so far and am interested in seeing things develop. :)\n"}]}
