{"ops":[{"insert":"Time to play Archenemy with a brand new commander, The Lord of Pain:\n\nWhy does no one want to play versus this deck? Mostly because of the vibes. \n\n1) It does the thing when your opponents play their own cards.\n2) Your opponents know it can help them, but this guy is just a parasite waiting to suck you dry.\n3) It completely shuts off an entire style of play without doing any hard work.\n4) This card explodes with literally any big Timmy spell and the pilot will talk about how epic sweet they were for playing a 10 mana spell and killing you (legend, no one ever did that before.) \n5) This is the kind of deck where the pilot says \"I'll just randomly do the damage to one of you\" and pretend it totally wasn't their fault at all. \n6) Using [[Phyresis]] or [[Exoskeleton]] allows you to kill players by letting other players cast spells. Who made this? Why? Horrid. \n7) People who pilot this deck will roleplay being archenemy and then complain when you use removal on them. \n8) People who pilot this deck will pretend to be shocked when you attack them.\n9) Opponents will reserve all their removal for this card, and this card alone, leaving them open to basically any other threat. \n10) It forces players to play sub-optimally, which enduces intense sodium disorder in sweaty nerds. \n11) If you get down to a 1v1 with this person, and cast a spell, it might well kill them, allowing them to talk about how \"they took themselves out\" (totally intentionally and nothing to do with your skill by the way.) \n\nAlso the kind of person who plays this deck is only aroused when other people suffer. {"ops":[{"insert":"We all know that Commander players hate losing, right? what if there was a deck where nobody loses? (Because also nobody wins)\n\nThere are only two magic cards in history that explicitly contain conditions where the game can end in a forced tie, but several ways exist to cause infinite loops of state-based effects. This essentially crashes the card game and according to the rules, forces a tie. So, I attempted to build a deck which contains as many of these combos as possible (There are over nine) with the express intent of assembling one of them; in such an event, everyone is a winner! \n\nI chose Kwain, Itinerant Meddler as the commander because its color identity covers the most amount of these combos (there aren't enough in other colors to justify making this a full 5-color deck), Azorious being objectively the least fun colors to play against helps add to the salt levels, and Kwain being something of a group-hug card helps better disguise the gameplan. Oh, you thought we were going to explain what the deck does in the rule zero conversation? But that would be proper EDH etiquette! Additionally, he acts as a solid card draw engine so we can quickly dig for tutors or combo pieces. Some might comment on the lack of high-salt cards like Rhystic Study or Smothering Tithe, but this is on purpose. Again, the goal is not to reveal our horrendous motives too quickly, and cards like these would prevent us from flying under the radar.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/3228783/this_deck_sucks"},"insert":"Here's the full decklist"},{"insert":".
