{"ops":[{"insert":"https://archidekt.com/decks/6425165/fusion_fun\n\nI call this deck \"Do you Take the One?\" This deck is slightly based off of Alex from Spike Feeders Do you Ping the One deck but with a blue twist. The commander is Nekusar the Mindraser but the deck really cares about a partner pair of hidden commanders: Ghyrson Starn Kelermorph and Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin. When these triggers both go on the stack you can resolve the Ob Nixilis trigger before getting the extra damage off with Ghyrson, turning little bits of damage into the beginning of the end. With repeatable card draw in the command zone and a couple well placed tutors I'll be sending my opponents to the grave, one damage at a time.\n"}]}

Enter "},{"attributes":{"link":"https://www.archidekt.com/decks/9526528/blast_from_the_past"},"insert":"Blast from the Past"},{"insert":", a deck that I spent a long time thinking about. \n\nBasically, this is a pre-modern deck built around old value creatures. Yes, I can't tutor for Lifeline, but Stampeding Wildebeests, Genesis, and Erratic Portal do a decent enough impression. I use those two cards to generate advantage using the less-than-stellar draw options old green cards offered. Many of the creatures have built in sacrifice, like Wall of Mulch or Heart Warden. Others use the classic ability echo, like Yavimaya Granger, as an actual advantage.\n\nLifeline would be much better in a deck like Karador, but including it as a linchpin piece in a heavily restricted deck like this was a joy to brew. Many of these cards occasionally see play to this day. but others have been sorely outclassed by modern cards. Having a place I can still jam a Tornado or the all-star Marker Beetles shows off a variety of cards often forgotten. The best thing, though, is that there are still plenty of cards I have never heard of that I've tested out in this deck over the years. \n"}]}

A mixture of Voltron and Discard is where he lives. Start the discard war and suit him up with [[Blackblade Reforged]] and [[Fireshrieker]] for those 1 hit KOs. Honestly though, you want him to die a few times. Akuta in my list is primarily around to eat removal so if he can't voltron you out my other two commanders will get the job done. It really makes your opponents grimace when they spent their removal on Akuta to then see [[Tergrid, God of Fright]] and/or [[Tinybones, Trinket Thief]] hit the board.\n\nIn all, it is a THREE commander council of pain that is headlined by the weakest member. This deck does it's best work at upkeep and End of Turn steps. There is also a stealing sub-theme with Thief of Sanity, Tergrid, Nicol Bolas's Planeswalker side, and Dauthi Voidwalker. \n\nI originally built this deck around Burglar rat and Specters but dropped the recurring tiny beaters theme for more focused, table-wide effects as discard themes are almost always Archenemy and Monoblack has a tough time with this outside of a Blood Artist shell and I was frankly exhausted of Aristocrats. From there I went with Tariel, Reckoner of Souls; but the randomness of her reanimation effect made the discard effects less cohesive and efficient (plus Grixas is better than Mardu for discard)\n\nCrouching Dragon - Flip Bolas is the epitome of a Dragon crouching in wait\nHidden Nightmares - One would think Bolas flipping is the hidden Nightmare, but it is easily the most fragile and least frightening part of this deck.
