{"ops":[{"insert":"One of my old favorites and the first secret commander deck I built is my Norin the Wary with Rocco in the command zone granting easy access to the secret commander.\n\nWhereas monored Norin decks utilize Purphoros and Impact Tremors to consistently ping opponents, this list takes advantage of having access to 3 colors to do much more. Drawing cards, creating tokens, pumping creatures and keeping the board clear of nasty enchantments via Aura Shards. Panharmonicon and Gandalf the White are obvious inclusions in a deck relying on triggering ETBs. Also, Saltskitter deserves a special mention as a way to essentially double all the ETBs once Norin is in play. This year, the deck has also gotten some strong upgrades in Molten Gatekeeper, Arbaaz Mir and Agate Instigator.\n\nFor ramp, I opted for using mana dorks over sorceries and (most) mana rocks because the deck wants as many creatures as possible to trigger the various ETBs so drawing a mana dork in the late game is not as bad as a Rampant Growth would be. Since the deck runs so few artifacts, Collector Ouphe is in there to slow down opponents.\n\nNorin is very hard to remove, but if it does get killed off, it can really slow down this deck to a crawl. This is why the list includes plenty of ways to get it back: Eternal Witness, Bala Ged, Naya Charm, Samwise, Sun Titan and Annie Flash.\n\nThis deck gets hosed hard by Torpor Orb / Hushbringer / Hushwing which is why my current list runs Abrade along with a few staple removal cards.\n\nhttps://archidekt.com/decks/6661085/rocco_secret_norin\n"}]}
