The more concrete your vision, the easier it'll be to find cards that fit.\nThis could be related to the art, such as including only cards that show a certain animal, or chairs. It could also be mechanical, such as requiring each card to reference the number four, or contain only prime numbers.\nYou could also think more abstractly. What would Twelfth Night look like as a Commander deck? What cards would you choose to represent your favorite vacation spot?\n\nFor the truly mechanically minded out there, combo decks aren't off the table for this challenge either. Since you're in Bracket 1 you can't include any two-card infinite combos, or tutors to help put the pieces together, this is the perfect chance to show off a convoluted combo that requires too many cards for a \"normal\" deck.\nExtra bonus points if your combo doesn't win the game, but creates a unique board state, or showcases a niche rules interaction.\n\nWhile the idea is important, the key to success with this month's prompt will be the individual cards you include. As many cards as possible should be included to support your theme or idea.\nScryfall is an excellent tool for finding the exact card you need. Between advanced search and art tags, you should be able to find exactly what you need.\n\n\nHere’s how to participate:"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Brew an EDH/Commander legal deck on Archidekt that satisfies the prompt.\nAny unreleased cards spoiled during the contest’s duration are allowed."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Silver-bordered and acorn cards, while cool, are not allowed. "},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Digital-only cards (such as those designed for the Alchemy format on Arena) are not allowed."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Strictly one deck submitted per user."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\n\nReply to this newspost, or the Discord submission post with a link to your deck before 9:00 pm EST (UTC -5, currently) on "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Wednesday, March 12, 2025 "},{"insert":"(do not submit the same deck in multiple places). Note that the effects ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"01a Manifest (Card Advantage)"},{"insert":"] only manifest from your library, so opponents cannot gain any information that they might have if you manifested from your hand or elsewhere.\n\nZimone can manifest dread all on her own. We have many fetch lands ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"01b Fetch Lands"},{"insert":"] and instant-speed ways of putting lands on the battlefield ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"01c Instant Landfall (Ramp)"},{"insert":"], so we can trigger her landfall ability on each player's turn. Note that there are no landfall token makers or draw engines in the deck, in keeping with a Bracket 1 experience and assuring lower power.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Step 2) Attack with two \"Goats\" and a \"Car\""},{"insert":"\n\nAttack an opponent who controls at least one creature with three manifested creatures (\"Doors\"). Two of these creatures must be \"Goats\", weak creatures or noncreatures that are face-down. Getting hit by one of these can be easily shrugged off. One of these must be a \"Car\" ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"02 Cars"},{"insert":"], a very powerful creature that, if not blocked, would make any opponent feel like they got hit by a car. This incentivizes them to try to block the Car. (Note that none of the Cars have trample, which would make blocking moot.)\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Step 3) Lure an attacker of the opponent's choice"},{"insert":"\n\nBefore the declare blockers step (perhaps in your first main phase), target one of these Doors with a Lure effect ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"03 Lure"},{"insert":"]. The defending opponent chooses which one they want you to target. The Lure effect ensures that, no matter how many creatures your opponent has, they can only block the chosen Door.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Step 4) Reveal a Goat"},{"insert":"\n\nReveal one of the two non-Lured Doors by triggering Ugin's Mastery (three 2/2s = 6 power), activating Hauntwoods Shrieker or Primordial Mist, paying its manifest cost, using an instant-speed landfall effect ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"01c"},{"insert":"], or using a bounce effect ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"04 Bounce"},{"insert":"]. You must reveal a Goat, which indicates to the opponent that one of the two unrevealed Doors is a Car, a creature more powerful than the one you revealed.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Step 5) Ask the opponent if they would like to switch"},{"insert":"\n\nGive the opponent the option to change their mind and block another Door instead. If they want to change, make the Lured creature unblockable ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"05 Unblockable"},{"insert":"], so that the opponent can legally not block it, allowing them to block the other unrevealed Door instead. The opponent may choose to stick with their original choice; it is completely up to them. (If they choose to block the revealed Goat, they will definitely get hit by a Car. Also, it is apropos that you can use Key to the City and Manifold Key to unblock a Door!) \n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Step 6) After blockers are declared, reveal the remaining attackers"},{"insert":"\n\nShow the opponent the results of their choices and calculate the damage they take. If they blocked the Car, they won't take a lot of damage from the Goats. If they blocked a Goat, they will take a lot of damage from the Car. Bounce effects ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"04"},{"insert":"] can again be used to rescue a Door if you need to.\n\nRecursion ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"06 Recursion"},{"insert":"] lets us reuse cards for later demonstrations, especially Lures ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"03"},{"insert":"], fetch lands ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"01b"},{"insert":"], or other lands ["},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"07 Other Lands"},{"insert":"] that were milled from manifest dread. Also, there are a few effects (Greenhouse // Rickety Gazebo; Dryad of the Ilysian Grove; Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth) that give fetch lands colored mana abilities, so you can crack the fetch lands whenever is most opportune. There are also several Room enchantments to further the Door theme.\n\nThe solution to the Monty Hall problem concludes that it is advantageous for the opponent to always switch, which seems counterintuitive to many. (If they switch, it is a 2/3 chance they will get hit by a Goat, and 1/3 chance they will get hit by a Car.) Hopefully with many demonstrations of this setup, your opponents will gain a deeper (and/or more painful) understanding of this solution.\n\nI'd love to hear what you all think, thanks for reading this far!\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Come ponder the orb with me."},{"attributes":{"header":1},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nYou like orbs? You like pondering? The primary theme of this deck is for all cards to ponder orbs, secondarily to be orb-centric. (Without all of the stax pieces.) Enchantments seemed to be fairly prevalent so it actual has some enchantment interactions, but that is not the point. I entirely accidentally reached 12 pieces of draw (as defined by archidekt automatically), 15 pieces of ramp, and 12 pieces of removal so in an absolutely true power level 1 pod, this may function. Outside of the obvious themes of romance, this deck includes cards that represent the things that they love. He loves dinosaurs, Lord of the Rings, and rhinos, while, she loves horses and cats. By bringing all these themes together I made their wedding gift. I encourage people who are interested in this deck to take it in their own direction if they ever want to give it as a wedding gift. If you choose to play it please try to win with happily ever after; I put in cards that would allow the conditions to be fulfilled despite this being a two-colored deck. \n"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Commander: "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Aragorn and Arwen, Wed"}},{"insert":" "},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Aragorn and Arwen, Wed"},{"insert":" is the heart of the deck, perfectly blending your two main mechanics: "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Lifegain"},{"insert":" and "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"+1/+1 Counters"},{"insert":" \n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Game Plan & Synergies"},{"attributes":{"header":3},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Your primary strategy revolves around "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"lifegain fueling +1/+1 counters"},{"insert":", allowing you to "},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"outscale opponents and win with overwhelming board presence"},{"insert":".\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Key Themes & Strategy"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"1.
