From new commanders for familiar archetypes, to commanders that enable brand new strategies, there are plenty of options to choose from. Choco, Seeker of Paradise is a fresh option for the burgeoning Bird decks, while Freya Crescent might breath new life into an old Equipment deck. The Wandering Minstrel works with a new land sub-type, while Zidane, Tantalus Thief is an effect we've never really seen before.\n\nBut new commanders aren't the only thing to be excited about. Powerful new Equipment like Buster Sword and Black Mage's Rod can easily form the centerpiece of a deck. The new Summons lend a lot of support to Historic and Saga decks, especially powerful finishers like Summon: Primal Odin. Final Fantasy has also introduced lands with Adventure spells, which means you can now recur actual spells with Life from the Loam.\n\nThere are also plenty of opportunities to get a little weird. Hope Estheim brings mill and lifegain together, the combination we didn't know we needed. Dragons also got a new commander, in a new color combination, thanks to Estinien Varlineau. My one friend I played against and I would impose situation rules like that if one person (usually the person playing the real deck) got too far ahead and was winning too quickly or one-sidedly based on the board state. Like once I attached holy armor onto a demon and then elected to not win the game by attacking with that guy until the armor was destroyed somehow. love this\n"}]}

Terra, Magical Adept is not only a WUBRG commander, but a summon herself, so she has to be our Commander. She's pretty cheap, and 6 mana to flip her isn't that hard when you're in green. I did restrict myself to only FF cards in this deck, so the ramp isn't nearly as good as it could be, but Esper Terra's last chapter gives us 10 mana to play with, she's like a one and done Ramos!\n\nAfter that, I grabbed Tidus (or is it Tea-dus) Yuna's Guardian to move our counters around and proliferate, Garnet Princess of Alexandria to remove lore counters to keep our sagas alive, and Yuna hope of Spira to return our Summons back to the battlefield after they've sacrificed themselves. Sin, Unending Cataclysm is also a surprising all-star, as he can remove all counters from any number of creatures, including lore counters and completely reset our sagas.\n\nAnd, since we're in WUBRG, I figured why not throw in all the towns? I think I got all of them, and a healthy amount of basics. The deck as-is is perfectly playable, but add in Tom Bombadil and some better ramp/card draw and this thing could be very strong. Oh, the deck is bracket 3, just because I decided to toss in that cool Rhystic Study in the set, lol.\n"}]}

The primary method for this is using one of the 9 included "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Feign Death"}},{"insert":" like effects in combination with a sac outlet or, in a pinch, even a "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Transmogrifying Wand"}},{"insert":". {"ops":[{"attributes":{"link":"https://archidekt.com/decks/13674811/chocobo_raceway"},"insert":"Chocobo Raceway"},{"attributes":{"header":1},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nI have always been a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, and my favorite part is the Chocobos. I decided to take this idea and run with it - pun intended. I took a token/lands matter approach to this deck, with the clear focus of using birds. I dug through every bit of bird creature support I could find for this. There were some that didn't quite make the cut in the end because they support flying creatures. While those would still work for this deck, I didn't want to put too much flying support in a deck based on a flightless bird. To me it just seemed wrong.\n\nI went with Choco, Seeker of Paradise as the commander because, while green and white gave me the colors I needed for chocobos, blue gave more birds and bird support, as well as access to wealth of removal spells. There are quite a few landfall abilities in the deck, but not so many that I would consider it a landfall deck, so I think lands matter is a better description.\n\nThe basic plan for this is to be able to use Chocobo Raceway, Summon: Fat Chocobo, and Sidequest: Raise a Chocobo to make 2/2 green bird tokens that get +1/+0 until end of turn when a land enters, which patches the ability of some of the other chocobos in the deck like Ambrosia Whiteheart and Black Chocobo. Then you would use the various ramp spells to play a bunch of lands, and overrun the opponent. \n\nI did make sure to add some ways of making flying bird tokens, and there is some support for flying creatures, but I heavily focused on the word bird over flying. I hope you all like this deck!\n"}]}
