Turning this option on will pin a sizable static card preview to the right side of your deck area. As you hover over cards in your deck, the preview will change accordingly. Below the card, we've included all of the controls present on the card details overlay (i.e. the popup you get when you click on a card in your deck). This means you'll be able to adjust cards' printings, categories, color tags and more right from the static card UI. \n\nWhile we expect this will mostly appeal to folks who use one of our two text views, \"Static card\" is available in all \"View as\" options. We'll even let you remove the card image itself and replace it with a generic text-based version of the card if you're into that sort of thing. \n\nEven if you disable all card UI elements, you'll still have access to all actions and information you need either by clicking on the card itself or via the three dot menu that's always to the bottom right of the card. You can also toggle any/all elements back on at any time from the same place you turned them off. \n\nNote: We've removed the option from account settings that allowed you to toggle off collection stripes since it can now be done here, directly on the deck page. \n\n"},{"insert":{"image":"https://storage.googleapis.com/topdekt-user/article_images/static_card_options.png"}},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Card search card UI"},{"attributes":{"header":2},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nThe UI elements that appear on cards in card search now match the UI of the deck page. {"ops":[{"insert":"Hey! I'd like to flag up a couple of minor things I've noticed that might be glitches or oversights? \n\nOn mobile, when selecting, for example, Syntax Search from the EDHRecs tab (and vice versa I think), the drop-down menu is "},{"attributes":{"italic":true},"insert":"behind "},{"insert":"the boxes for search string/card type/confirm search. Fortunately for me the two tabs I actively use are already top of the list, but it needs a bit of accurate prodding to select them and whatever's on the second slot is completely covered. "},{"attributes":{"list":"true"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"On mobile again (I do actually use the site on PC, I just don't run into any problems there!), long-pressing on a card opens a big long menu instead of selecting it? This means that to select cards on mobile you have to long-press, then choose Multi-Select, then you can do whatever you were going to do. I think it's treating the long-press as a right-click now rather than a Ctrl-Click? "},{"attributes":{"list":"true"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"On mobile (sorry) the context menu that allowed for easy adding to Maybe/Side/Category now opens the full card-details page (same as clicking on the card itself) like on PC. Since right-click isn't a thing your fingers can do and there's not enough screen space to have the search open alongside th deck page, that shortcut menu was quite helpful for easier categorisation without having to go back and forth between views (Deck <-> Search, or Search <-> Card Details), each transition taking a moment or two to load and scroll to the right place. "},{"attributes":{"list":"true"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nThe latter two are only little things that add a tiny bit of time and jank to mobile usage — but it adds up over time. \n\nI get the impression that they're both a result of a handy PC feature not quite porting over as well to the mobile UI, because when I use stuff on PC those menus *are* really useful since I have the screen space for it and more buttons. \n\nI'd also like to say: I hope you folks running the site don't take my nitpicking on seemingly every update too negatively; I write quite formally so it can come across as pissed off, but it comes from a place of caring — I wouldn't still regularly use this site if I didn't legitimately think it was the best out there, and I wouldn't give any feedback at all if I didn't care enough to advocate for things I believe would enhance the experience. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Speaking as an experienced software test engineer (not at all involved with this website, here I'm just another user) your formal writing comes across as professional and useful, not angry. I think that's what you want rather than opening the full card details itself (assuming you're wanting to add cards to the side/maybe/category from a dropdown as opposed to opening the larger card details).\n\nAnd feedback is always welcome. We appreciate the time anyone takes to inform us of any issues or improvements they find or can think of. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Overall, I think this feature is great, though I have a few small suggestions:\n\nI would make it so you could change the size of the static menu.\n\nAlso, when trying to scroll down the static menu, the static menu doesn't actually scroll down and is cut off until you get to the bottom of the page. I think it should instead be similar to the \"lock\" feature, where you can scroll down for either the static menu or the actual decklist.\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Did yall change the way it recs cards? it no longer recommends cards based on whats already in your deck, and only recs the staple cEDH stuff now? the EDHREC tab is almost completely worthless now\n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"We actually have zero control over what that tab returns. It reaches out to EDHREC’s deck recs endpoint, then returns the data. So if anything has changed there, it wasn’t us doing the changing (not saying anything has or hasn’t changed, I just don’t know). \n\nI can pass this feedback along to them though. {"ops":[{"insert":"is there way to choose wither we want our card search results all on one page like it previously was or on multiple pages? \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"There is not. A setting like that would be pretty difficult to maintain as it would change how the data flows through the application in a not insignificant way. It's just as simple as flipping one setting on or off. \n\nWe chatted this through in our discord with users, and in general people were largely indifferent to the change. Since the change brought with it a not insignificant performance uplift when searching through cards, we decided to move forward with the new workflow. \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"Great work! Realistically I probably won't use a lot of this, but I love to see people being able to customize their experience to be how they like it.\n\nOne thing this has made me realize that I'd love is a way to set my default color tag to transparent. When I want to mark a card, I want to see that, but otherwise it can be nice to not have the color there. I've also heard from a friend that they'd love to be able to (A) hide card prices and (B) have the card type \"sort by\" have lands at the bottom instead of where they fit alphabetically\n\nAnd then something I've thought about is that it'd be neat to have a feature that a user could link N decks to and it would include all the cards in those decks, that way questions like \"what is my most expensive card?\" and \"how many auras do I play?\" could be quick and easy to answer... though I'm now realizing that I could use the collection feature for that, I'd just have to manually make any changes to my decks \n"}]}

{"ops":[{"insert":"I just looked a few minutes ago and I don't know exactly when it was implemented, but you can now select \"None\" for card prices!\n\nI'd had it set to €/TIX because $ prices are useless to me but I couldn't remove the second one at the time. I've now got it on none, though I might go €-only at some point. \n"}]}
