{"ops":[{"insert":"I'm using a Commander that can summon angels, demons, and dragons. I focused primarily on demons and angels where the effects would balance and enhance each other. There are several small surprises. I added some black to allow for library searching. There's token generation for easy sacrifices. Some of the best surprises are flip cards. Mild threats suddenly turn into a creature with 9 toughness or 3 damage to every creature and player. This softens up their side so the Master of Cruelty can perform his trick. In reality, he's there to be a target for them to worry about while the rest of the army handles the fight. If his trick works, great. If not, there's demons and angels aplenty to resolve the situation.\n"}]}

Surprise its Brudiclad!

{"ops":[{"insert":"At first glance this deck seems to be your average Izzet spell-slinger. Galazeth as a commander then means that I can create a token generator that keeps building and building and use that to make more and more treasures and clues etc. Many cards in here also serve as a draw engine so that I can draw cards, generate artifact tokens and use them to keep doing more of that. As I do that, my game shifts into phase two. Turns out that this is a combat deck. Many of the spells I have allow me to make token copies of opponents creatures which I can use on some of the best ones (For example: Ancient copper dragon, don't mind if I do). As I start to build up a bit of a board, SURPRISE, here is Brudiclad to turn all of my tokens into a copy of something tasty I stole. I quickly go from a mana base into 20 of the best creature on the board. BLAM spell-slinger no more, I hope you have enough blockers for 20 Terror of the Peak's. This deck \"hopefully\" starts as a token generator, and ends with a creature beatdown courtesy of Brudiclad. \n"}]}

Marina's Maineating Rooms

{"ops":[{"insert":"This deck initially looks like a grindy control deck which encourages players to attack other targets at the table as it doesn't outright deal a lot of damage and seems to focus on accruing rooms for the room win condition (which is also a possibility but not the intent). So, while you slowly build up a board state you actively encourage other players to target each other.\n\nThe twist comes when you get one of your enchantment enablers like Zur or Bello on the board which either immediately turns or enables you to turn those enchantments into weapons of mass destruction. Since the mana value of rooms is based on the cost of unlocking both doors, each one is sizeable creature with Zur's effect, they become powerful evasive creatures.\n\nThis deck is currently built for a 3 but could easily be upgraded by adding better tri-lands, fetch lands, surveil lands, tutors, etc. Without those tutors it can still succeed due to deck filtering and card draw.\n"}]}

There's a few low mana value frogs that draw cards, buff each other up a little and help you look like you're playing a non-threatening little deck. However, once Helga gets a little bigger, or Clement comes onto the field, or you find Food Chain, then you can start blasting your friends with the Eldrazi that make up the other half of the deck's curve. \n\nIt needs some work, but I really like the idea of frogs being consumed to power the casting of gigantic nightmares. Codie Endures a House of Horrors

{"ops":[{"insert":"Codie, Vociferous Codex is trapped in a house of horrors of its own making! Can Codie endure long enough to reach safety? Find out in the description below!\n\nI love Enduring Ideal but could never find a great way to cast it without tutors. Then I stumbled on everyone's favorite loudmouth librarian from Lorehold, Codie, Vociferous Codex. Using Codie's ability, an adventure spell, and Spellshift, this deck casts Enduring Ideal pretty consistently on turn 4. From there play all of your favorite enchantments to craft a win. Is it as fast as using tutors? Maybe not, but no one expects a Codie deck with only two instants or sorceries that does nothing but pump out enchantments - jump-scare! I opted for a flavorful win-con using room cards from Duskmourn.\n\nStep 1 - Ramp to Codie. This iteration of the deck uses some pretty expensive fast mana but you don't need it.\n\nStep 2 - Activate Codie's ability to cast an adventure spell from your hand. Good mana fixing is important since some adventures have 2 of the same color pips but cards like Beluna Grandsquall and Amethyst Dragon can be cast with the WUBRG that Codie generates. Pay attention to the adventures in your hand and plan accordingly. The adventure card then exiles cards until you find Spellshift which in turn counters the adventure and casts Enduring Ideal. If you go through your deck and exile Ideal before finding Spellshift it should be put back into your library before Spellshift resolves, at least according to reddit. If it doesn't work that way this whole deck is a bust but you can read about it here.\nhttps://www.reddit.com/r/mtgrules/comments/sqfuss/codie_and_timing/\n\nStep 3 - Using your Enduring Ideal epic ability put rooms onto the battlefield and unlock the cheaper side using mana from Codie. Escape the house using Central Elevator // Promising Stairs and win the game!\n\nSpecific Inclusions:\n\nElfhame Sanctuary and Mirri's Guile should be cast from your opening hand to ensure that you don't draw key cards before using Codie. If important permanents do get stuck in your hand use The World Spell to get them into play. \n\nGo-Shintai of Life's Origin and Starfield of Nyx offer some recursion.\n\nChannel lands and spells like Mirrorshell Crab are included to interact when you otherwise won't be able to with Enduring Ideal in play.\n\nShadow of the Second Sun and Paradox Haze can give you extra Ideal casts. Copy Enchantment etc. can give you extra copies. \n\nThe maybeboard offers some alternative win-cons and protection spells.\n\nThanks for reading!\n\n\n"}]}
