{"ops":[{"insert":"Salubrious snail on youtube put out a deckbuilding challenge the weekend of March 21st, for decks to be submitted by March 27th. Requirements are that I submit a 100 word story/poem with no E's in the words, and that the card names not include E.\n\nI had originally been slowly collecting wolves and some tribal pay offs for this commander over the last year, and didn't feel motivated to build it. I did however find it hilarious sword of body and mind made a wolf token, so I had been planning to put it in the deck anyway, so it's kind of there as a meme more than anything but it happens to fit in the restriction so I kept it.\n\nBecause there's no basic forests in the deck, a lot of colour issues arise, meaning I need to rely on some tap lands, and some 3 mana rocks for colour fixing, meaning I can't ramp in the early game very well. This makes the game plan kind of clunky since all the wolves I want to play before the commander require green, and since I'm mostly concerned about colour fixing on turns 1-4 It's likely that I will fall behind a lot, so i included a lot of board wipes to make up for that. I wanted to include combat tricks that cantrip aswell that synergize with the commanders forced block ability, but there weren't many worth including.\nAdded cantrips and cyclers in to help the early game feel less abysmal.\n\nI've only made 1 other draw go list and that's more of a combo list/maze's end deck than true draw go control so I'm unsure on the ratios required.\n\nDebating whether or not to include a lot of counterspell protection to casting tolsimir, it adds like $100 to the cost of the deck and would dissuade me from building the deck. \nTo tune the deck up to be higher power, I tagged all those cards as red (\"don't have\"). it would make the deck feel more like a combo where I would have to sculpt my hand so it hand all the protection pieces before I played the commander, but my play group aren't big counterspell enjoyers so I didn't bother.\n\npoem:\n\"ripping packs \nhorizons and karlov manor\nhoping for gold land, but got gold bulk\nno lush portico, but argus kos and tolsimir\nsitting and gaining dust\ntribal plan not captivating my curiosity \n\nsalubrious snail's tutor tutorial \naiding my first foray into control\"\n\n\n"}]}
