{"ops":[{"insert":"Hi! I'm an overeducated English professor with a Ph.D. in medieval lit, working at a small college in the Midwest. After grad school, I got back into Magic (circa M14) for the first time in years, after having played from about Revised to Alliances as a kid. I quickly got re-hooked, and now spend far too much money on Magic and associated paraphernalia. (This would be less of an issue if my other hobbies - video games, books, and action figures - weren't also on the expensive end of things.)\n\nI play almost exclusively Commander, though not as often in person as I'd like, so the vast majority of my decks are Commander decks. I hope you find them interesting, and feel free to leave me some feedback on them!\n\nCurrent projects include the following battleboxes, all sets of Commander decks designed to be played against each other.\n\nTarkir Battlebox: A battlebox of five decks centering around the five clans of Tarkir. All cards are explicitly set on Tarkir (specifically, Khans-timeline Tarkir, so no Dragons-timeline cards) and to the specific clan. I have early forms of each of these complete and publicly visible."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Ravnica Battlebox: A battlebox of ten decks centering around the ten clans of Ravnica. All cards are explicitly set on Ravnica and at least fairly closely tied with the guild in question if not explicitly guild-affiliated. Only one or two of these decks are currently complete and publicly visible."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Beginner Budget Battlebox: A battlebox of multiple decks centering around mono-color or two-color budget commander decks. In order to make them beginner-friendly, they tend to be lower-powered, have limited numbers of mechanics per deck, and all use the most recent frame (legendary crown, flavor text separator bar) and most recent Oracle wording (with a few exceptions for things that have only recently changed and most relevant cards haven't been reprinted with, like \"milling\" and \"mana value\") to reduce confusion. Currently I have two decks of each monocolor and I have started on two-color decks."},{"attributes":{"list":"bullet"},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"\nPlayer Archetype: Johnny/Vorthos\nFavorite Color: Green\nFavorite Mechanics: Tokens, counters, lifegain, doubling things, enchantress\nFavorite Keywords: Populate, proliferate, extort, constellation\nFavorite Commanders: "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Atraxa, Praetors' Voice"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Trostani, Selesnya's Voice"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Karlov of the Ghost Council"}},{"insert":", "},{"insert":{"card-link":"Sythis, Harvest's Hand"}},{"insert":" \nFavorite Ravnica Guilds: Selesnya, Orzhov, Simic\nFavorite Alara Shard: Bant\nFavorite Tarkir Clan: Abzan\n"}]}
