{"ops":[{"insert":"I am a deckbuilder living on the US east coast, who got into Magic the Gathering in 2022. Since then I have enjoyed putting decks together. In many cases, I try to avoid going all out in terms of cost, with some exceptions. I also try to build for a range of power levels due to the pod I play in similarly having decks with a range of power levels.\n\nThere are a lot of cards I tend to steer away from using based on my own personal moral code, though there are also cards our pod has banned. We have banned all of the expensive fast mana cards (not sol ring though), so all the moxes, mana crypt, jeweled lotus, etc.\n\nOutside of this I tend to avoid cards like Rhystic Study, Smothering Tithe, Cyclonic Rift, all the expensive counter spells (though tbh thats less of a moral reason and more just because they are so darn expensive), Orcish Bowmasters, etc. Also some of our pod don't like wheels so I don't play that much right now. (I break my rule for these on occasion especially given my pods powercreep and interest in proxying.)\n"}]}
